This modern handmade porcelain mug is made by Jennifer Spring Ceramics. Jennifer loves creating one of a kind pieces that invite the sense of touch through inviting textures.
Jennifer creates this mug with layered colors of slip and carves through to reveal the design. One of the unique features of this mug is the cutout for the thumb on the top, which makes it incredibly comfortable to hold.
The handle and interior is glaze with black and the matte is colored slip. Made with porcelain and glaze that is food, dishwasher, microwave safe. Actual size is 3.5" wide x 4" tall. Holds approximately 15 ounces.

Jennifer hand makes each piece in her Seattle area studio. She fires all work in an electric kiln at midrange firing of approx. 2200 degrees (cone 4-6 depending on the clay body). Her ceramics are food, microwave and dishwasher safe.
